Can we all agree that Edward saying, “This is the skin of a killer Bella,” was one of the best things that has ever happened in movie history, because it’s just so iconic. For this blog, I am bringing back my Twilight obsession and explaining why I can’t get enough of it. It’s time for a twilight fall, pls (I type as I’m in California with no fall in sight.)
I cannot talk about my Twilight obsession without thanking the person who gave it to me, and that is my mother! My mom, who is my best friend, took me at eight years old to go and see Breaking Dawn Part 2 (yes, it was a midnight release, okay, I grew up educated). Might not have been the wisest choice since the goriest film, but little Mariah did not care one bit; she thought it was the coolest thing ever. I still have a decent memory of Carlsie (spolier alert) getting his head torn off and everyone losing their mind. I swear my fangirl self might have started there.
There are so many reasons why I love these films, but I just love how awkward and, yes, they can be cringy, but that’s the whole point. The love story is just so beautiful, and I love how perfect Edward and Bella are for each other. “So the lion fell in love with the lamb.” LIKE YES I WILL EAT THAT UP! Also, can we please bring back the blue tint, because why did we stop making movies without tint? When I think of twilight, I think of the blue tint, red eyes, and everyone just looking like they're in so much pain. I am also trying to collect all of the Twilight t-shirts. I currently have Twilight and New Moon, but need the other three! I went thrift shopping with my roommates, and while they were all looking at cute tops, I was on the hunt and screamed when I found this!
Also, justice for the hot dads on Twilight! I’m talking about Charlie and Carsile because Carsile did a lot for Edward and Bella, but Charlie deserves Dad of the year because that man was put through the wringer with Bella leaving and then coming back like it was nothing. Like, Charlie had no idea his daughter was getting seduced by Vampires and that his life was in danger multiple times! Anyway, the soundtrack to these movies is my favorite thing ever! I love indie music (well, mostly all music), but escapist indie music, and I am constantly playing the soundtrack throughout fall and winter.

Twilight (Nostalgia)
Breaking Dawn Part 2 (lives were changed)
Eclipse (Iconic because the wolves and Vampires kinda team up)
Breaking Dawn Part 1 (the robotic baby is enough)
